iOS Question iEventKit Help

I am having an issue with alerts not showing on the reminders, we set them in a app using iEventKit and they show fine also check them in reminders app however my question is however

1- Do reminders that are set actually alert via a popup notification we notice the ones set using the default apple reminder app do what about the ones set using B4i iEventKit

been in settings and notifications and all turned on

Have you added a CalendarAlarm to the reminder with Reminder.AddAlarm ?

Hi I have not done that, I was thinking reminders have thier own alarms but they are shared by the looks of things. Would we need then to create a Calendar object first as we have the reminder created.
Question : do you have a small snippet just so I can quickly try..and see
