Android Question integrating java code in b4a ?

I found this old thread (from 2011).

any updates since?

is it possible to integrate direct java code into b4a file directly ?

I saw inside Johan Schoeman's code the following :
(in the flash light torch example)

#IF JAVA
...
...
#End IF

is this applied in b4a?

any lead / extra explanations will be appreciated.
