limit a number

Hi all,
I have the following lines of code

If material = "Single Plasterboard 2400x1200" Then
qtyunround = (sumtotm2 / divider)
qtytxt.text = Round2(qtyunround,2)
qtytxt.text = qtytxt.Text &" "& material
End If

I am trying to limit the number of digits displayed but this isnt working.
My thinking was if they choose single plasterboard then the sum is written to qtyunround then the text box displays the result rounded to 2 digits but it is showing something like 4.23456743 where I want 4.23.
Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

sumtotm2 is a variable storing the m2 total of 2 user inputs
qtytxt.text is the text box to display the answer.

Try

qtytxt.text = NumberFormat (qtyunround,1,2) &" "& material

I have tried as you suggested but this displays a strange symbol two small circles joined together but no error do you have any idea what this symbol means

could anyone please provide a simple example of how to round a number stored in a variable to 3 digits

I don't understand where your problem is ?
You should have posted your code to see what happens.

Both functions Round2 and NumberFormat work perfectly so there must be something else in your code.

Edit your code so that qtyunround is set to a known value before the line I gave you above:

qtyunround = 4.12345
qtytxt.text = NumberFormat (qtyunround,1,2) &" "& material

If you see
"4.12 Single Plasterboard 2400x1200"
in the qtytxt text box. This will show that the line is working OK and your problem is somewhere else (possibly qtyunround is not a number).

If you dont get this, post your result here and we will try to help.
