Hi,

The VPS hosting company I have my B4J app hosted with has released support for Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Currently I am using Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Should I upgrade to 18.04 or keep using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ?

Will version 18.04 have any better performance etc, or will it be pretty much the same and not worth updating ?

The only catch is if I update to 18.04 I need to back everything up and set it up again, but happy to do that providing I am going to benefit with better performance etc.

Do you currently have performance problems?
Not really. Didn't know if Linux Ubuntu 18.04 LTS was going to be any better since it's now available for me to use.

Based on the following I guess it's preforming pretty good.
(I stopped my B4J app at 8PM while I uploaded an update)

One leading reason to upgrade or not derives by how many security patches they applied to the newer version. Running an obsolete or unpatched OS could lead to data breaches or any other kind of problems. Just read the documentation and find yourself if you need that upgrade (in most cases, IMHO, yes).
