When checked you only see logs messages generated by B4A.

If you need to make more operation on the logs you could use the "Android Device Monitor" (monitor.bat available in your Android's SDK folder Under the "Tools" sub folder)

If you are using B4A-Bridge then this option will not do anything as you can only see the B4A related logs. With ADB (USB debug mode) it toggles between showing all logs or only B4A logs.
