I'm in touch with a friendly developer advocate from Huawei and there is an opportunity to promote your app as well as B4X. You can post it here or send me a private message.

If you are working on an app that will be published in AppGallery, and especially if using one of the Huawei libraries then it is also relevant.

I'm registered as a developer but have not yet published an app there. First i was not sure how to use B4X to do this and second mye app is a niche tool.
Anyhow i see now in the forum that there is a howto for publishing B4X apps to Huawei. So when i have time i can try to publish.

Hi Erel
Do you mean Huawei is still allowed to use Android?

Logically there is this :
Android is an *open source* operating system for mobile devices and a corresponding open source project led by Google. ... As an open source project, Android's goal is to avoid any central point of failure in which one industry player can restrict or control the innovations of any other player.

It's the services that would be restricted Which are not open source: Play, analytics etc etc..

Which (obviously you realise) the thread @Erel points to is showing how to work within the new ecosystem.

I have read, though, that Huawei has developed it's own OS (unconfirmed).

My app, Zoetic, has been published on the Huawei AppGallery. There are two versions, a free one:
https://appgallery.huawei.com/#/app/C100841611
and a Pro version:
https://appgallery.huawei.com/#/app/C103370925
The only Huawei api used is by the Pro version which is for DRM verification.

The only difference between this version of Zoetic and the version on the Google Play Store is that for the former I have removed links to YouTube videos which I use for instructional and demo purposes. I am currently looking at using Bilibili (apparently China's version of YouTube) to host these videos and then will embed Bilibili links into the Huawei version of Zoetic.

I have 22 applications in the app gallery.
i am using huawei ads.
my goal is 100. I had 120 apps on google play and my account was closed due to a policy violation. all my apps have been deleted. I opened a new account. and I am very careful about policy violations. My applications are generally simple applications.
