New dark mode

[Erel]

Check the new dark mode option in the bottom left corner:

Dark mode looks good.
But... maybe I'm too old and too used to light mode; I just can't get used to dark mode.

Same @me....switched back to normal mode...DarkMode is maybe better for the mood, but not for (old) eyes

[AnandGupta]

Back to light mode.
Will play with dark and see. Main problem with dark is the grey and shadow part are lost in it. Some colors also do not look good.

It’s great to be able to choose between Dark and Light modes.

I’ve also always preferred the light mode; and yet, it’s strange, given that...

I used to program on green-phosphor monitors (IBM ILE RPG language)

(the one in the image isn't "exactly" a green-phosphor monitor).

Thanks for adding a dark mode, Erel, it's great to have the option.

I love dark themes, but I personally find the current color choices a bit harsh and not very pleasant to look at, and I think that's also what AnandGupta meant by greys and shadows getting lost.

In case it's useful, I made two quick mockups of the same page, only changing the colors: one with softer blue-gray tones and one with lighter neutral grays (I prefer this one).

Just a suggestion, feel free to ignore it. Thanks!

Yeah, the old DOS Screens

Yeah, the old DOS Screens

It’s similar, but it’s not DOS, it’s an IBM terminal.

The new dark theme gave an impression of hacker's command center or Cyberpunk Cyberdeck UI.

I notice in mobile view, the Anywhere Software logo is too small, it used to be a logo without text.

I've made some changes in this direction. And I'm open for further suggestions. Thanks

The logo is back.

I won’t be switching to the dark theme myself, but I’ll try to offer some help.

1. I think that in the light theme, the background colors of those two menu bars are more distinct from one another, which makes them better.
2. I would move the switcher to the top.

[Erel]

Should be better now.
