iOS Question New update causes slow typing

The latest update is cause a very irritating problem. When I type, its typing slowly, and when I paste it takes bit longer before it shows up. Its almost as if the software is executing 50,000 subroutines for each character entered on the screen!!

I feel like its the 1980s again running Word 6.0 on a 386...

What gives?

No, I am using Windows 7 on a Lenovo T510 with a Core I7 CPU and 4GB of RAM.

Sure the machine is getting a little bit long in the tooth, but it should still be fine.

Everything was ok until I updated to the later version which has all the MaterialIcons, Autoformatting etc...

the IDE is fine. the Designer is fine. its typing or pasting in the code window that is slow.
