B4R Question No log with nodemcu

I got few nodemcus from Aliexpress and they behave unlike what I already have.
When I run a program (any program) it loads but does not continue with logging after "PROGRAM STARTING". The log data until that point looks the same as with other nodemcus.
When I run the src.ino created sketch by arduino IDE and open the serial monitor I see all the required logging.
Any idea what is wrong or how to solve it ?

When I use a serial to USB device I get the logs. It is probably something in the USB driver.
