Is there any alternative to push notifications to those served "in house" ?

I would love to see implemented GCM like in Android (since Google supports both platforms)

The "issue" I face is that the server needs a pem certificate and it's a pain to share certificates between XCode and B4i.

There is no other push solution in iOS. Google also uses Apple system to send iOS messages.

XCode refuses to generate a PEM certificate using those generated by B4I (invalid issuer)...
