Android Question Option Explicit

Hi, I am new and just purchased the enterprise edition today. I come from a VB6 background and was very happy to see this software and purchased it immediately. I have an important question so I get off to a good start when I try to convert some of my apps from VB. Where is, or is there an OPTION EXPLICIT compatible statement in B4A? I used it all the time and it is very very useful.

You can take a peek at THIS thread to read about some similarities.

One thing to clarify, B4A has NOTHING to do with VBx, so do not expect to translate everything verbatim, while you get acquainted with B4A I would suggest you read the documentation, you can find the links on my signature below, especially the Beginner's Guides.

There is no such keyword in B4X. However you always need to declare variables. The compiler will throw an error otherwise.

Ok, Thanks Erel. I will just have to learn the differences but it looks like there is more similarity to VB than not so that is great.
