Android Question Problem with SaveAs function

I ran into a problem running the example from

If you overwrite a bigger file by clicking its filename before clicking SAVE, the new data is written but the file is still the same size and old contents remain.

How to fix this?

Don't you get a new filename? Erel said if the file exists, the name will be changed

The file name will also be changed if there is an existing file with the same name.

Exact.
When I save a file with the same name, it offers me name(1).
If I select the file, it is overwritten and the new data in the file is correct.

I use SaveAs for backup but I recently noticed that the file keeps getting bigger even if the data saved is small.
