Problem with XML Table

Hello:

I have a problem with a Table

B4X:

Sub Globals
 'Declare the global variables here.
End Sub

Sub App_Start
 Form1.Show
Table1.LoadXML("TblTest.xml")
End Sub

Sub BtnClearTbl_Click
Table1.Clear
Table1.RemoveCol("aa")
Table1.RemoveCol("bb")
Table1.RemoveCol("cc")
End Sub

Sub BtnNewCols_Click
Table1.AddCol(cString,"Naa",40)
Table1.AddCol(cString,"Nbb",40)
Table1.AddCol(cString,"Ncc",40)
End Sub

Sub BtnAddRw_Click
Table1.AddRow()
End Sub

First delete all the table columns. Then add three new columns.
By adding the first row works fine but when adding the second row fails.

Error:

"Table1.AddRow()
Error Description:
NullReferenceException"

This only happens in the device. On the desktop works fine.

I've found strange behaviour when using LoadXML(), so I don't do it any more!

Isn't LoadCSV() just as good?

Using CSV files is better. CSV files are smaller and much faster to load.

I tried your code and get the same error !
You should report this in the 'Bug reports' forum.

As a workaround you can add the 2 lines of code below in the
BtnNewCols_Click routine (TableXml1.sbp).

I have always used csv files with Tables.

EDIT: If you use csv files, the problem doesn't happen.

I work with the Klaus solution.

In csv, the problem are the formats. Csv file does not save formats.
After LoadCsv there are problems with item numbers. The Filter and Sort dont work well.

You are correct about the typing.
You can however create the columns manually and then load the csv file (with the correct arguments).
