Android Question Problems with Bluetooth Chat

Based on this thread i downloaded the sample and installed it.
After establishing a connection a Message was raised that the connection is broken.

This happens always.

Tried it with several other bluetooth apps, all work fine.

Where could be the problem with this ?

What are you connecting to? It will only work if you ran the example on two devices.

I connect to an Arduino with BT - normally works fine to receive and send data. maybe Android 9 is the problem ?

No.
The Bluetooth chat example will only work if you ran it on two devices and connect each other.

Tip: don't use AsyncStreams in prefix mode unless both sides of the connection implement the prefix protocol.

tried that sample already....the spinner keeps spinning. but the name of the device is shown.
But no autoconnect...solved this some years ago with our help, but forgot it
