"Quote of the day" widget demo

The attached application adds a "quotes" widget which you can add to the home screen:

The widget downloads 5 RSS feeds from the following site:
Quote of the Day RSS Feed - BrainyQuote

It then stores the 20 quotes retrieved and shows a different quote each time the user presses on the red arrow button.

A tutorial about this application will be available when the next version is released.

I plan to release a beta version tomorrow. This update is simpler than the previous one so I expect the stable version (1.6) to be released a few days after.

Really? I thought it would be tough to design the widget and all.

But I guess the current release's debugger must have been the toughest for you to integrate into B4A.

Widgets are different than regular views and require a different approach.
The most difficult part was to design the API and make it fit the existing B4A design.

It is a bit too early to say, but I think that the result is good and it will be pretty simple for developers to create home screen widgets.
