I'd like to make my app able to receive photos shared from, for example, the gallery, or other apps.
I already have the option within the app for people to select a photo and upload it to their profile, but I'd like them to be able to do it from the other end - find a photo, and choose to share it to my app, which would then upload it.
I can see how to register a file type to open - outlined at https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/open-external-files-with-your-app.50525/ - but that seems pretty clunky, because as far as I can see if you have a photoyou have to first copy the file to iCloud drive or something like that, and not all apps even appear to offer that functionality.
Is this really impossible to do on iOS? It was so straightforward on Android, I'm amazed at the awful clunkiness of iOS when it comes to this sort of thing.
