Android Question Remote GPS Monitoring

Hello, what is the best way to get Remote GPS coordinates(from another device). There are multiple remote android devices and i have to get all their locations on to my android app . Almost like a tracking app

1. GCM / Push Notifications
2. MQTT
3. Polling from my device

any suggestions?

Thanks Erel. i will try this. Is MQTT not a good option though? where the devices(to be tracked, may be 500) publishes its location and devices(there could be thousands) subscribes? it is many to many connection. thank you

Even for MQTT you need a server running too.

But it should be possible too with MQTT too i guess

MQTT is also possible. MQTT can handle thousands of connections.
