Android Question Resize image to fit ImageView

You may have to forgive me here, it is after-all Sunday morning and I may just be having a blond moment

I've never really used images much and cannot for the life of me think how you would resize a image (from local storage using ContentChooser) to make it fit in a imageview (140dip x 140dip).

I don't mind if the image has bands to make it square or if it just gets cropped square. In fact would prefer the crop.

Any hints?
