Android Question Screen lock service?

My android 6 phone rebooted on its own yesterday. i thought that was just a side effect of all the things I've been doing like install/uninstall of apps.

But today as I checked there's a new device administrator app listed called Screen lock service. The description is: Allow apps to determine the quality of the device's screen lock.

Is it a Google app or should I hit the panick button already?

It is one of the B4A apps you've installed. You can disable it.

I'm talking about the 3rd app in the pic.

I can disable it but after reboot it's automatically activated again just like the Find My Device admin app.

Apparently it's been suddenly appearing on other people's phones too without them knowing how it got installed

I don't see it here. However if you don't enable it then it cannot do any harm.

I too looked in my MI phone, as I never knew such 'administrator' options are there and yes it was there along with Nova and Find my device. But the icons shows very small and it is disabled.

Looks like Google is testing waters for .. GOD knows.
