server need for the app

using a mysql server in my home server, the app sends and recieves some information ( adds rows, use select queries to retrieve info etc.. ) . I will use a 4gb ram , amd dual core processor computer for server. I need to know how much internet speed would be acceptable for the app to runsmooth. I am planning a 50 mbit download, 5 mbit upload internet service package . How many users can it handle approx. Do you have ny ideas ?,

For servers the upload bandwidth is more important.
It is really hard to say. I recommend you to run some tests. Create an app that sends many requests and test the performance.

Note that RDC will give better results than the PHP script.

I have an idea:

"Anywhere software" will provide us with a server for these things, with its (his) usual exceptional assistance
