I think that most have some kind of social app registration... Being it Facebook, google, tweeter, etc.

Whenever I can I use "register with Facebook" this way I don't need to remember another username/password combo.

I don't think most people (real users) worry that much about their privacy... specially after one post on Facebook where someone posted... "Be back in five, going to the WC" and five minutes later posted a photo of her "service"...
People just don't have a clue of what privacy is or what it means!

As a user I don't want to use ONE login for several accounts due to security reasons. If it get's hacked, one can access all accounts which is bad.

As a developer I want to handle the users on my own to show them that no data is sniffed by 3rd party companies like Google or FB. These days this is a big plus I think.

Along with all of the other good reasons already mentioned for not using a social media or third party login account for the apps I develop, I have one another one.

I don't do social media. At all. None.

I have several google accounts, yes, for various professional reasons but they do not overlap and I can't even imagine wanting to use one of those for a not-directly-related app or use. Do I find it a bother? No. I find it comforting to keep things separate. The sorts of apps that I develop for my own companies' clients and for other companies value security and accountability over (marginal) convenience.
