Android Question [SOLVED] Changing Net library's FTP connection timeout interval

With reference to the Net libraries FTP object - the connection timeout seems to be set to about 60 secs.

How can I change it?

Looking at:

https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-net/apidocs/org/apache/commons/net/ftp/FTPClient.html

under heading:

Methods inherited from class org.apache.commons.net.SocketClient

it looks like there are setConnectTimeout and getConnectTimeout methods.

So I'm assuming some Reflection wizardry is required...

You need to replace setControlKeepAliveTimeout with setConnectTimeout and the timeout is measured in milliseconds, not seconds.

I've tried:

    'Set connection timeout to 30 secs

But it fails with:

I suspect I have got my targeting wrong - setConnectTimeout is associated with a SocketClient that it appears FTPClient uses - and I'm out of my depth...

The latest version of Net library allows you to set the timeout with the TimeoutMs field.
