Android Question Stay dimmed

Hi,

I have a service with a timer. When my device is dimmed, every Timer_Tick my screen gets out of dimmed mode. Only when dimmed, on sleep no problem.

Is it possible to prevent this?

I found something as the opposite???

The timer shouldn't affect the screen. What are you doing inside Timer_Tick?

I do a HTTPJob for checking messages on a webserver.

HttpJob shouldn't matter. Try to find out what causes it by commenting out parts of the code in the tick event.
