With this it will be possible to receive the search string in the same activity the seach was initiated. I think this will be easy to implement and won't have any drawbacks. Just an additional option.

Was the onNewIntent() implementation added in some later versions? Can't remember that I have ever seen it in the generated code. Last edited: Feb 19, 2013
