Taking pictures while placing a phonecall

Hi Everybody,
I have an APP which is taking pictures and send them to a remote server.
I need to place a phonecall programmatically, but when I do that, the APP which is taking pictures is sent to background and stops sending images. It's restarted when I terminate the application and so the images' flow is restarted again.
Is there a way to keep preview events going on while calling? I base pictures' capture on that event.

You can send the images from a Service. Services continue to run when your program is in the background. You cannot however handle new preview images when the activity is hidden.
