rbsoft Active Member Licensed User Longtime User Feb 14, 2012 #1 Is there a way to turn the device screen on? Similar as an incoming phone call does? My app is running a service that is communicatiing with a server. Phone WakeState is set to KeepAlive(False). So the screen is dimmed. I would like to turn the screen bright if it is dimmed, or - even better - turn the screen on if a new message is coming from the server. Any chance to do this? Rolf

margret Well-Known Member Licensed User Longtime User Feb 14, 2012 #2 Hello, I don't know if there is a way with any of the new libs to do this, but see Erels answer here: http://www.b4x.com/forum/basic4android-updates-questions/10008-phoneevents.html Upvote 0

NJDude Expert Licensed User Longtime User Feb 14, 2012 #6 Actually, you can do it, but it's kind of a workaround, something like this: Code: If Some_Event_Triggered Then Ph.ReleaseKeepAlive Ph.KeepAlive(True) End If And then reset it when you dismiss the notification. Upvote 0
