B4J Question UI on Raspberry pi 3?

I read on the forum somewhere that GUI programs are no longer supported by raspbian, what is the latest on this please?
(meaning I don't have to download JavaFX as it will not work anyway, or did I misunderstand?)

Officially UI applications are not supported on ARM boards due to the removal of JavaFX from Java. It is not a big loss as UI applications on Raspberry Pi were pretty limited anyway.

With that said, you can install Java 8.06 which is the latest ARM version with JavaFX and it will mostly work.
