WAKE_LOCK permission

Hi,

When I uploaded an APK i just discovered it contains the WAKE_LOCK permission. I'm not using this functionality, which library could cause this to be added?

Note that libraries do not add permissions. Only if you use (Dim) an object that requires a permission it gets added.

Yes (in B4A classes).

It is important to understand that no permission is added just because you referenced a library. The Phone library is a good example.

After you compile your app, open your Manifest, not via the manifest editor but the actual file located in <YOUR_PROJECT_NAME\Objects and look if any "unwanted" permissions have been added.

Sure, I did that but isn't really helpful.

Now use Windows Grep to search inside XML files and that is actually better.

The WAKE_LOCK is also be used by VBWep. The DEVICE_STATS too. So, I now know why.
