iOS Question Your Binary Indicates Support for IPad...

I'm trying to only target iphone and ipod touch devices because I don't have an ipad to revise a layout on. I've edited the project.pbxproj file and changed the Targeted_Device release mode (2nd instance) line from "1,2" to "1" I've left the debug Targeted_Devices the same, however when I upload to itunes connect it still says that your binary indicates support for ipad. I really want to target everything but ipad at the moment, is there something I'm missing?

The guidelines from Apple saying:
1) All Apps For Iphone must run on the iPad.
2) All Apps For Ipad but not have to run on Iphone.

It does run on ipad, but I know the app won't get approved due to the distorted layout on an ipad. No, it's not allowing it to be submitted for review without ipad screenshots, while saying the binary indicates support for ipad. I know in Xcode you can select "universal", "Iphone", or "Ipad" when making a project.
