A layout question

I have a layout which looks fine in portrait, but when i turn the phone to landscape it looks bad.

Do I make two variants? One for 480x800 and one for 800x480?

Or load two different bal files?

You should use two variants. One for each orientation. This is simpler than maintaining two different files.

And two emulators I guess - unless there is a way to "rotate" the emulator.

You can rotate the emulator by pressing Ctrl + F11 (when the emulator is focused).
