Other AppCompat compile error after SDK update

Since I'm not sure where to post this I thought this department might be OK. If it's better somwhere else please let me know.

After updating the SDK to

projects that use the AppCompat lib produce an error while compiling.

Generating R file.    Error
D:\_Downloads\AppCompatBaseExample3_20\AppCompatBase\Objects\bin\extra\res2\res\values-v24\values-v24.xml:3: error: Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:TextAppearance.Material.Widget.Button.Borderless.Colored'.
D:\_Downloads\AppCompatBaseExample3_20\AppCompatBase\Objects\bin\extra\res2\res\values-v24\values-v24.xml:4: error: Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:TextAppearance.Material.Widget.Button.Colored'.

It could be reproduced by using the example "AppCompatBaseExample3_20".

Is there anything I can do on my side?

You should use a more recent version of android.jar (Tools - Configure Paths).
