Android Question B4A Bridge - Unknown Sources on Android 9

I have to fix an bug with my App on Android 9.
So I did get a Samsung A8 with Android 9 OS.

After installing and starting the B4A Bridge I get the message about setting the Unknown Apps message on my device.

In Android 9 this is done by giving the B4A bridge app the permission.
I have done that but B4A Bridge keeps throwing the message "Please enable installation of non-market applications......".

Unfortunally the start button keeps grayed out.
Anyone an idea to solve this?

I didn't find anything yet on this subject.

A workaround for now....

I installed the app B4A-Bridge Plus from Gunther Gabriel.
It also keeps throwing the message but the Start Wireless button is Enabled.

B4A does connect to this old B4A-Bridge and I am able to deploy the app from my computer.

This is really a B4A Bridge bug. Hope that it will be fixed soon.

I have Android 9 security patch (01 march 2019) installed on this phone.
Maybe it has a little too much security in it.

I think someone should look into it.
Anyway... I am able to fix the bug now. :)

I have no problem with mine on Android 9 on my Note 8 which just updated a couple of days ago finally. (Thanks verizon....... better late than never I guess)

BUT I think I installed the bridge the day before it updated to 9. So evidently it just carried over permissions from the older version.
