Other B4A Version 5.00 stopped working SOLVED

Hi Everyone

not sure if this problem has already been brought up but I'm getting an error when I click on one of my .b4a projects.

the error I'm getting is "b4a has stopped working" then just closes down.

the only way I'm able to open a .b4a file is by opening up the program from its shortcut and then file and open source.

I'm running windows 8.1 which is up to date.

any help would be great.

This has been seen before when opening from a pinned shortcut.

It probably tries to open the b4a file with the wrong executable. Right click on the project file and choose Open with... Select B4A.exe and check the "always use this program".

its the actual source file the projectname.b4a file.

its not a major problem just slightly annoying i guess

you were both right. With Erel's solution everything is all good again

Just installed V5.00 and found similar to above .. clicking on app desktop shortcut resulted in "B4A has Stopped working ... "
As Erel suggested above .. Right click on the project file and choose Open with... Select B4A.exe and check the "always use this program".

all desktop shorcuts (I have quite a few.. ) opened correctly from then on.
