I am not a mac user, so my thoughts could be stupid. But I think, if I want to use a B4J prog on the mac, I need something, that can deal with java, which is not standard on every mac, and I have to install it before, right?

If I understand it right, the B4X concept is, that the IDE first translates the basic code into another relevant language, that can than be compiled. Would it be (theoretically) possible, to have a B4mac, where the IDE behaves more like B4J, but translates the code into Swift or Objective C, more like B4i?

So we also could create clear software for mac and with B4J and B4i 90% of the work should be already done. Just a matter of 1-2 more weeks for erel ;-)

I would like to see B4Q.

I've been looking into Microsoft's Q# and other quantum programming languages, and they are very complicated!

I think I'm going to wait for B4Q to be released. Thank you!

@skrjabin,
I came across an issue a few weeks ago when a couple of my clients updated their Macs operating systems to find that the JavaFX apps that I created for them suddenly stopped working. So I fired up My Macbook and updated MacOS to 10.15 Catalina, guess what happened, none of my B4J JavaFX developed apps would worked. By the way, this has absolutely nothing to do with B4J, just Apples new security protocols. What an absolute pain in the rear end. I managed to get the apps working again by changing the security setting in MacOS.

CLICK HERE to read more about it.

Enjoy...

Thanks to the link! I also heard, that java is not so easy running on new MacOS. Good to know, what to do in that case.
