The list is also available in the designer and when you mouse hover over the B4XComboBox type.

My last question was answered well.

And my 1st and 2nd question? Any help available for those?
Or do your responses mean also that it's impossible to
query the open state and, when open, programatically scroll the list?

Not possible.

It should be quite simple to create a control made of a button and xCLV that is displayed when needed. This will allow you to do whatever you need.
