Wish B4XPlusMinus Top formation

Currently there are 3 formations: Horizontal, Vertical and Bottom.

In the app I'm working on, I use two of this view side by side to enter a currency amount. The left one is for the dollar amount and the right one for the cents. The formations selected are bottom for both of them.

The left view's "-" sign is very close to the right view's "+" sign and when you try to hit one of them, you could easily press the other by accident. They together represent a single currency amount, so it makes more sense to keep them side by side than separating them by enough space.

A solution: Top formation for one and Bottom formation for another.

The problem with top formation is that the user finger will hide the value.

I guess that I miss something obvious.

The attached screenshot gives me the impression that Top formation would be better than Vertical formation regarding finger blocking view.
With Vertical formation, the "^" is right above and physically closer to the value than Top formation.
