iOS Question Best way to Search in remote db

hello Every one If I Want To search for item what is the best way to do that

every time load items from server to search for item Or Collect all items in list then search in list

note that every time there will be new items in database

I can collect the item once then search in it but what about new item How I can handle this because when i use the first way (every times load items in list) this make my app hang or maybe make overload to my server

Are you using jRDC to connect to the database?
You can issue a query with LIKE to do a text search.

Yes I know erel but what i mean I add all items in list instead of every time connect to remote server to query for example jobs list so I search in jobs list instead of use query with like
