Android Question Can't see text inside app (buttons, labels etc)

Hi,
Lenovo X240, using emulator.
Text label/captions of views don't show on emulator where is shown correctly in my device.
My laptop has 8Gb, i5 and Intel Graphics
Is there any cure?

Debugging the simulator can be a waste of time.

Have you changed the background or text colors?

no...
even without running any app, the android settings texts seems trancated (either no text at menus or lost the the first keyword-letter
seems a general problem of the emulator as a phone

It is not for debugging, just when i'm on the go and can't connect to a device, is easy to see how apps works using the emulator
