Before we have something new in the IDE, can we have a sub-forum or section for Collection of Community Contributed B4X Templates?

As per one of the topic being discussed during the Members Online Meeting on last Monday.
Suggestion to improve B4X IDE: User friendly templates for beginners to quick start a project.

p/s: I can't remember who, I have read a member have proposed this idea before.

I had never used project templates, but after the watching the meeting, I investigated.
It is so simply, it is almost counter-intuitive.

1. Make a bare-bones app that works (in any way you want).
2. Rename the files .b4j b4a b4i b4j.meta b4a.meta b4i.meta to $APPNAME$.and all the suffixes
3. Zip the project and rename as projectName.B4XTemplate
4. Add to additional libraries (B4X)

It will show up in the Open New dialogue

If you have something you automatically do every time, make it a template

@aeric You're right about that. It isn't needed.

Kudos for your meeting initiative - I have done a few in my career, and I know that was hard work.

This is giving me an idea....

Some time ago.... wait, let me rephrase that....
"In an era long gone, when computers were still the size of a small family's car...."
Wait, not THAT long ago... lets say, about 10 years ago...
I managed a thread that listed all the B4A (it was the only IDE that existed at the time) user created libraries.
I was thinking, we could do something similar, and create a list for each IDE's User Created Templates, with a short description, and of course, credits to the author and link to the original thread.

What do you guys think?
