Android Question Dashboard Design inside a Panel

Hi there

The current Dashboard items library here only works for the Activity and one cannot have the dashboard inside a panel.

I have just found this code here http://www.androidhive.info/2011/12/android-dashboard-design-tutorial/

Is it possible to wrap this up into a workable dashboard? I would appreciate if someone could teach me how..
