1) Designer -> new menupoint :Open Designer, before was one click
2) Designer, Still no "CLOSE/QUIT" menupoint, must click on X (wish)
3) Designer, CTRL A for select all views (wish)
4) much space in abstract designer (see screenshoot)
- CTRL A works not correct for views on a panel. Only some views are selected. (screenshot 1)
- Zoom to fit only change the scrollbar position in my case. (screenshot 2)
1. This is the same behavior as in previous versions. It selects the activity views only (the parent views). This allows you to move the views. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible.
2. Zoom to fit will zoom to a value of 100% or lower. It will not zoom to a higher level (by design).
I wanted to change the location of my views which are on a panel.
I thought I could use CTRL A and than deselect the panel and move the other views on the panel.
It zooms out to fit the entire gray area (though I'm not sure what that area represents - it's much larger than my variant dimensions).
Ideally, I'd like it to zoom to the bigger of:
- the variant dimensions
- all views (I sometimes put some views outside the variant dimensions so I can see them more clearly, then move them in the designer script.)
Currently I find the zooming and positioning in the designer is very fiddley.
The grey area I'm talking about is the large area shown below, which is many times larger than the 320x480 variant size chosen in the combo box:
I'm not sure what it's there for, as opposed to the dark background.
In any case, I would love to see "zoom to fit" zoom in larger than 100% (basically to the variant boundaries or the views (or selected views?), because otherwise I just have to fiddle with the zoom and pan controls to do it manually. Working at 100% on large screens makes it harder to do detailed work.
1. The area that represents the screen.
2. The outer area that is used to allow you to put elements outside of the screen.
3. The other area is just there to allow you to move the (0,0) point to the center.
