Android Question error connecting to remote db using RDC and 3G

I have problem connecting to remote db sqlite through the 3G. With wifi working properly
The error is: dbrequestmanager_handlejob (java line:235) java.io.eofexception
Does anyone know what is the problem?

Where is the server located? It is probably not accessible. Your mobile provider may block its port. In that case try to change the port to 587 which is an SMTP port.

It is an external server with a static IP and use port 17178.
With port 587 does not work.

I'm testing with other mobile operator and if it works to port 17178.
Is there any way to know which ports can be used on android?

however http://114.143.130.46:17178/?method=test gives connection successful on 3g

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am new to android and b4a. My application is working fine with wifi. I am connecting to a static IP which is running RDP server.
When I am on wifi, the application works very well. If I switch to 3G, It works intermittently. The job gives success but no records are updated. If I terminate RDP server then the job gives failure. While the application is running, if I start wifi everything works well. The same phone is able to connect to the same server by 3g by using microsoft RDP. (RDP server is hosted on the same server). Do you also have a tutorial on how to use job.success Thanks
