Hardware Suggestions Requested

I am interested in getting an Android based tablet and would like to get one that has what the current Basic4Android developers feel are the minimum hardware features to have.

Specific model suggestions or a list of features would be really appreciated.

I highly recommend you to develop with a device that supports debugging, which means you can connect to it with 'adb'.
