help with installation configuration

just confirmed the aapt.exe file is there, but
the compiler expects the file in the folder
C:\Users\tools\..\platform-tools\aapt.exe
I tried to create the folder c:\users\tools\, but didn't know what the next dots mean.

The two dots mean "parent folder". Where have you installed the SDK?

But I didn't install it according to this path guide
C:\Users\tools\..\platform-tools\aapt.exe

This is completely different from the first folder.. installation first
folder is C:\Program Files\Android\Android-SDK\platform-tools\aapt.exe

getting even worse..
Now there is a pop-up message as soon I start b4a (attached), but then b4a loads normally and works, exxcept compiling for the original problem above.
I am rnnumg win7 on Tablet PC (Atom cpu).

Please read the installation instructions:
Basic4android (Basic for Android) - Android programming with Gui designer

Install the SDK. The SDK doesn't work properly when it is installed in a path with spaces (like "Program Files"). It is recommended to install it to a custom folder similar to C:\Android.

I did more troubleshooting..

The error is refering to this path regardless of the actual location of the file.

Cannot find: C:\Users\tools\..\platform-tools\aapt.exe

Try to reinstall Android SDK under c:\Android.
Later make sure that android.jar under Tools - Configure Paths points to the correct file.
