Android Question Hi anyone could show me how to enable mobile data on my app once it is deployed to the phone

Hi All,

Could anyone show me how could I enable the mobile data switch upon my app being deployed to the phone. I notice that I have to manually turn it On using the phone setting.

Welcome to the Forum .... In the upper right hand corner you will see a 'Search Box' .. It is a very handy tool and should be used often.

For example I Searched for 'enable mobile data' and was able to see a post by @Erel that states

It is not possible to change the mobile data status in Android 5+ (on unrooted devices).

ps: In the Bottom right hand corner of this post , you will see a 'Like' button ... This also should be used often .

Hi Mj,
I had seen the post about not possible, but I had recently installed a DVR app and notice had it is able to turn on the mobile data switch upon installation.

Is this for a personal app ? .. do you often turn Mobile data Off / On ?

Maybe someone can supply more information to help you.
