Would that be reliable? Nowadays phones and tablets have pretty high resolutions so it may not be easy to assume a hight resolution is a tablet. One other way could be to see if any phone functionaility exists. Although, if you have a tablet like mine (Cube Talk 9X) that has a phone built in. But that's because it's a Chinese OEM. The branded OEMs don't really build in phones into tablets.

Resolution has nothing to do with size, what I mentioned above can return the approximate size in inches.
