B4J Question Is Java Required on Linux

Hi,

From what I have read, you can develop software with B4J and run it on Linux.

The question I want to ask do I need to have Java installed on the Linux device to be able to run the B4J Software I write?

I am not wanting to install B4J on it but the software I write I want to install on it.

I am planning to purchase a Linux hosting and then want to run the software I develop using B4J on it but not sure if I am allowed to install Java on this Linux hosting so want to know if it will work without having Java installed on the Linux server.

Yes. B4J apps depend on Java.

However Java doesn't need to be installed. You just need to copy the Java files to your linux computer.

You will need a VPS to be able to run a B4J app.
