Android Question KeepAlive on the service

I'm finishing making an alarm app - in fact I've already finished -, but I wanted the warning to be displayed instantly, without going through other pages. I achieve this by placing KeepAlive on the page that will display the warning, after loading everything. It happens that the alarm becomes erratic, not going off correctly. When KeepAlive is originally in service, after a warning is triggered, it works normally. Does KeepAlive only work properly if it is put into service?

Make sure to use B4XPages for such project. Otherwise the activity code will be paused when the app is in the background.
