Media player in Activity or ?

I'm making a CallSub() from a Service Module to play a media play sound in my Main activity since it won't play in the Service Module. While this works, the media player only plays when Main is active and on the screen (the app Main Activity has the focus).

How can I play the sound regardless if Main is active or if the app does not have the focus? In other words, can I make the call to play in the background on the device?

MediaPlayer is not an "Activity object" it should work from a service directly.
