Android Question Mobile logs - Viewing app logs on the device

Hello all,
I really like the logs that B4A displays, but I'm wondering is there a way for me to create an app that can show those same logs but on the device itself that my B4A created apps are running on. I would like the logs to be displayed in a separate app, lets call it a log monitoring?

I know that I can just go for a cycle, drive or walk and when I get back to the office, I can just connect the device in question to my laptop and connect B4A to get the logs. But I was wondering is there a way that I can view the logs on the device like it's still connected to B4A. I want to view what the apps are doing while I'm out with the device in question.

Basically the question is this. Is what I want possible, and if it is where do I start???

There are a few available in Google Play... Not sure if you need the device to be rooted or not.

Create a sub (for ex. MyLOG(text as string) ) which appends a text to an textfile.
Replace log with MyLOG.

Now you can do with your log whatever you want. When ever you want

Thank you for the fast response.

The MyLog idea sounds like a deciduously simple idea, why didn't I think if that???
I would still prefer to use the logs that have already been created but filter them like in B4A, but this will work too.

I just think that your own app doe not have the permissions in android to view the LogCat. That´s the problem. So i thought a own log-sub could be of help
